To be eligible for First Year Engineering Admission the candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XIIth) Science examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics secured minimum 50% Marks i.e. 150 Marks out of 300 marks (45% i.e. 135 marks out of 300 marks for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State) in the subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

OR

Diploma holders who have passed Diploma Course in Engg./ Technology (Any branch) affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks are eligible for admission to First Year Engg./ Technology in any branch.

ADMISSION:

First round of Admission will be done by Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. Vacant seats will be filled up by the Principal. 15% seats are reserved for Management of the institution & their Admission will be done by the Principal, College of Engineering, Shahada immediately after declaration of H.S.C. (Science) result.

As per directives of the State Government.

ESTABLISHMENT OF TECHNICAL INSTITUTION

Realizing the crying need for technical education, the Mandal took bold decision to undertake to start College of Engineering & Polytechnic from academic year 1983-84 for technical education and training especially to students from rural area.

The inauguration of the College of Engineering and Polytechnic was performed by the hands of Hon’ble Shri.Sudhakarraoji Naik, Education Minister, Maharashtra State on 22 nd August 1983. The College of Engineering is affiliated to the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon and Polytechnic is recognized by the Board of Technical Examination, Maharashtra State.

This is the First “A” Grade Engineering College in the
North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
